FIELD VIDEO TEST - Panasonic LUMIX DMC FS7

Ok so I much prefer a Point and Shoot camera for video capture than a I do a Flip or iPod Nano, and for several reasons. The first is obvious, the zoom. I got a Lumix DMC FS7 a few weeks ago and Ive already shot alot of video on it and it works great. Don't get it twisted, I always prefer a dedicated camcorder to shoot video, but things happen, and you should always have a Point and Shoot with you if you are even thinking about making videos. The FS7 is cheap. Its $130 bucks. So I really don't hesitate to take it anywhere like the beach or out on the boat. The Zoom lens collapses fully so it really is a pocket camera, unlike something like a Canon G11 or similar pignosed compact. The FS7 is built pretty tough and the features are slim but thats the point. I just need a camera that can grab clean sharp video, and the FS7 does exactly what I need. On most days its gonna be a back up, if not a 2nd backup, cause I make videos for a living and almost always have a camcorder with me. It just feels better knowing I have the FS7 on me at all times just in case.
