Ok, so you finally figured out that you need to clean gunk off of the front of your lens. First and foremost, dont use canned air. Canned Air is the Ed Hardy of the Lens world, seriously. Get a couple blowers, a rocket blower and a brush blower and use them to remove matter from the front element. If that doesn't work, you need to use a CLEAN, microfiber cloth. If that doesn't work then try a solution. The Only Two I use are Pancro and Rosco. Period. I dont use Nikon, or Ritz or B&H and whatever else is out there. Kim Wipes or Kodak Lens paper if you can find the good shit.
